If you have found this page it is most likely through a Google search. Due to work on other projects and a new job I haven't had the time to develop this site as I would like. Site functionality is intentionally very limited at this point, but these pages remain active as a reference. Stay tuned.

Guild Banks Introduced
The Guild Bank is a shared repository for an entire guild and will be

allow players with the appropriate permissions to store items and money
for use by the rest of the guild. Permissions to withdraw and deposit
money and items are controlled by the guild leader through the guild
controls menu. The Guild Bank is divided up into separate tabs so that
the guild leader may restrict access or group items into distinct

Bioshocked, activation issues lead to furious gamers
Posted: EnzymE @ Thu Aug 23, 2007 11:49 am
August 21st saw the release of the much anticipated game Bioshock by 2K Games, but the inclusion of Sony's SecuROM technology has left many gamers unable to play legitimate copies of the game. The software can be installed on two different computers before it disallows an installation, but some people performing system upgrades are also running into barriers while trying to play. Since Bioshock is so demanding on computer hardware many people are performing system upgrades. In this process they are commonly changing the specs associated in the authentication process without creating a new installation, but still invalidating the installation.
SecuROM was developed as a way to uniquely code types of media, traditionally CD-ROM or DVD-ROM, so that copied media would not be recognized as genuine by the software they contain. The SecuROM type included with the off the shelf retail version of Bioshock goes a step further to include an activation process that associates the installati...

Pictures from a Gold Farm
Posted: EnzymE @ Sun Jul 22, 2007 5:26 pm
The author Julian Dibbell recently wrote an informative NY Times article describing the phenomenon of MMORPG gold farming (http://tinyurl.com/3ylwbe).
He has also added exclusive photos to Flickr which give an interesting visual insight into the life of a gold farmer. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/juliandibbell/sets/72157594279649151/)
Whether you love them or hate them, this quote from Dibbell helps to put the farmer's lives in perspective.
"There are two shifts: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. This was the routine at all three workshops I visited. At Donghua, workers alternated between day shift and night shift -- two weeks on the one, two weeks on the other.
They got one day off per month."
